WHAT IS AMPUTATION PREVENTION?
At Wiregrass Wound and Amputation Prevention Center, we believe preventing amputations is directly correlated to saving our patients' lives*. We treat wounds efficiently and effectively to prevent amputations. Our patients will have the benefit of receiving prompt, intravenous antibiotic treatments through PICC lines inserted in our infusion center. We will be able to customize treatment plans using the results of DNA testing of wound cultures. Many wounds have multiple infections simultaneously. Our facilities are equipped to provide fast treatment and results.
WHY IS OUR INFUSION CENTER KEY?
An infusion center is an outpatient clinic that is certified to administer infusion therapy. We have advanced equipment and staff who can administer the infusion of antibiotics. This technique of administering antibiotics provides the timely treatment of an infection. We will also test your wound culture with a state of the art DNA testing system. We will be able to diagnose the multiple types of infections your wound may have. This results in a more effective and efficient way of treating our patients.
VASCULAR TESTING
Vascular testing is an integral part of finding the right treatment plan when working with amputees and those who suffer from infectious wounds. Vascular studies are tests that check the blood flow in your arteries and veins. Our staff uses this information to ensure your overall health.
